Eclampsia

The following symptoms suggest the beginning of eclampsia.

Pregnant woman
  • Upper right abdominal pain
  • Severe headache
  • Vision problems
  • Change in mental status, such as decreased alertness

Because eclampsia can have serious consequences for both mom and baby, delivery becomes necessary, no matter how far along the pregnancy is.
