During pregnancy, avoid eating: sushi

  • Raw shellfish
  • Sushi
  • Fish containing high levels of mercury like shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish (High mercury levels cause developmental delays and brain damage)
  • Foods made with raw eggs
  • Unpasteurized milk (ex. soft cheeses)
  • Alcohol (NO amount during pregnancy is known to be safe)
