SODIUM
- Kosher Salt, Sea Salt and Regular Iodized Salt ALL act the same
- Daily Recommendation:
- 1500 mg for those with Diabetes
- 2000-2400 mg (1 teaspoon of salt) for those without Diabetes
- Low Sodium Foods: 300mg or less per serving as found on food label
- Examples: Canned foods, convenience foods, cold cuts (processed meats), condiments, chips, crackers that are salted.
