Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes!
Can be treated with a good diet, exercise, and medication.

Type 2 Diabetes
- Body does not make enough insulin
- Insulin not used the right way
- Can happen at any age
- Overweight people are at greater risk

Risk Factors
- A problem with the body’s defense (immune) system that causes it to attack the insulin-making cells in the pancreas
- Family History of Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes
- The body makes little or no insulin
- Must take insulin shots to live
- Usually diagnosed before the age of 20
