Daily Self-Care Checklist

1. Check your blood sugar before meals and at bedtime.
2. Exercise daily.
3. Follow a meal plan.
4. Take care of your heart. Check your blood pressure and know what your cholesterol levels are.
5. Take your medicine daily as directed by your doctor.
6. Take care of your feet.  Use a mirror to check the bottoms of feet and in between toes.
7. Take care of your teeth.  Brush at least 2 times a day and floss daily.
8. Manage stress and depression.
9. Have a disaster plan in place.
10. Manage your sick days.
11. Create goals for yourself.
12. Make doctors appointments and get the tests you need on a regular basis.
